7" hoop, cotton thread on unbleached linen.

While in Dublin on my honeymoon I saw this old Bank of Ireland absolutely covered in ivy. I loved the contrast between the hard brick of the bank and the chaotic, almost fluffy seeming, leaves of ivy. This piece took about 6,500 french knots and 30-something hours to create the delicate, but overwhelming ivy and it's one of my favorite pieces I've made so far.
